Why do we do this?
As a church we always move by faith, hope and love as the Lord has taught us. This is why we support the many causes out there aimed to help those who are in desperate need. We want people to realize they haven’t been forgotten, and that they are being loved and supported not only by others in this world, but by God too.
What do we do exactly?
We hold various fundraising events that we hope you can get something out of too!
These include:
- Sausage sizzles/Food sales
- Plant sales
- Garage sales
- Music & Games festivals
So we hope you and your friends can join us and help out a good cause.
Who do we support?
The main organisation we support is Centro Shama. An organisation aimed at helping abandoned and/or abused children that are living in the streets of Peru. However we sometimes also support singular cases such as a child whose family can’t afford urgent surgery or a sick father who lives in a remote location where the necessary medicine to live is hard to obtain or even small churches whose congregation don’t have enough money to buy chairs.
We support respectful people & organisations, most of which we have personally visited, and seen the wonderful work that they have done. In particular, those who help orphaned, abandoned and/or abused children and youth. As you can imagine, the work they do is quite often challenging, tiring, and sometimes dangerous. But seeing the positive results is the reason we want to help these causes. Everyone deserves a chance to live a normal healthy life and we want to do what we can to give them that chance.
How can I help?
Volunteer
Volunteering at any of our events will be a great help and blessing to us. Even something as simple as welcoming guests will help us so much in creating the warm and friendly environment we want all of our events to have. As each event is different, the help we need varies but below is a list of things we would love for you to help with:
- Media Design (Pamphlets & Advertisements)
- Media Printing/Cutting
- Handing out pamphlets to your friends and family

- Setting up tea and coffee area
- Cooking/Baking
